Sokoto State Police Command has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of this year’s Ramadan.

The commissioner of police, CP Ahmed Musa, in a statement issued by the police spokesman, DSP Ahmed Rufai, called on Muslims to utilise the sacred period for prayers for the state and the country to have peace.

He also urged people to remain calm and translate the spiritual values into their daily conduct by strictly complying with stipulated laws of the land.

He warned against inflammatory comments which can cause unrest and disrupt the peace the state is enjoying.
