Nigeria’s Super Eagles are gearing up for a busy summer with two high-profile international friendlies confirmed for June against Poland and Portugal. This follows their recent strong performances against Iran (a win) and Jordan (a draw) in Antalya, Turkey.
Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, the NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, confirmed on Thursday that the Super Eagles will face Poland at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw on 3rd June.
Seven days later, on 10th June, Nigeria will travel to Portugal to take on the Seleção das Quinas. The specific venue for this match is yet to be announced.
The fixture will serve as Portugal’s final warm-up game before they head to the FIFA World Cup finals, jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Before these international encounters, the Super Eagles, as reigning champions, are also set to defend their title at this year’s Unity Cup Tournament in London, scheduled to run from 26th to 30th May.
