Founder of Zion Flames Prophetic and Intercessory Ministry, Apostle Momo Promise, has called on the South African government to take decisive action against the perpetrators of violence, amid renewed concerns over xenophobic attacks.

In a statement signed by the cleric and made available to journalists in Abuja yesterday, he urged his followers both in Nigeria and abroad to remain calm, peaceful and steadfast in their faith despite rising tensions.

He blamed Africa’s slow development on disunity among nations, stressing that division has continued to weaken the continent’s economic and social progress.

“We as Africans must come together and unite; we must see each other as one. This is why we are far behind,” he said.

The cleric noted that tribalism and xenophobia remain major obstacles to Africa’s advancement on the global stage, warning that the continent risks further setbacks if such divisions persist.

“I urge the South African government to take decisive action against the perpetrators of violence”.

He appealed to his followers to maintain peace.

He further described the attacks as the handiwork of a few individuals, insisting that the majority of South Africans are peace-loving.

“I have a lot of followers in South Africa; they are good people. But it is just a few bad eggs that are doing this,” he said.

Expressing deep concern over the recurring violence, the cleric said such incidents pose a serious threat to Africa’s collective growth and unity.

Apostle Promise reiterated his call for a united Africa, stressing that both spiritual growth and continental prosperity can only thrive where there is mutual respect, love and harmony among citizens.
