Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has declared that the state is “100 per cent” behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Kefas made the declaration on Wednesday after meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The governor, who is also the APC leader in Taraba State, said federal government interventions in security, education, healthcare and infrastructure were making a visible impact in the state.
According to him, the benefits of the interventions had strengthened the confidence of Taraba residents in the Tinubu administration and reinforced their commitment to supporting the President in 2027.
“You can see that I’m on ground, we’re in charge. All the interventions, all the support from the President, the people are feeling it, from security to free education to healthcare system to infrastructure,” Kefas said.
He added that the people of Taraba had no doubt about the impact of the Federal Government’s programmes in the state.
“So the people have no doubt, and they’ve given all the assurance that Mr President is reaching out to them through me, and for that reason, they are going to vote for Mr President,” the governor said.
Kefas consequently declared: “Taraba State is for APC 100 per cent.”
The governor said his visit to the Presidential Villa was also to welcome President Tinubu back and commiserate with him over the recent Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State.
He described the crash, which claimed the lives of military personnel and other citizens, as a national tragedy.
“I’m also the leader of the party in my state, so I came to welcome the President home and also to condole him over the incident of the crash of the Nigerian Air Force plane and also the officers and men and citizens of this country that were involved in the crash,” Kefas said
