Taylor Swift and Ludwig Göransson are among the high-profile names nominated for the 2026 Hollywood Music in Media Awards, with the ceremony recognising music created for film, television and other visual media.
Swift and Jack Antonoff earned a nomination in the song – animated film category for “I Knew It, I Knew You,” written for Toy Story 5.
Göransson received three nominations for The Odyssey, including one for original score and another for “When I’m Home,” which he co-wrote with fellow nominees James Blake, Travis Scott and Christopher Nolan. The song’s music video also earned recognition.
The composer won two HMMA awards last year for Sinners, before going on to collect the Oscar and Golden Globe for best original score.
Daniel Pemberton and Mina Samy topped the individual nominations with four each. Pemberton was recognised for scores for Project Hail Mary, The Drama and Slow Horses, as well as the song “Let Me Sell You a Dream” from Musk, co-written with David Byrne.
Samy received nominations for Ezma, short film Stopped, and both the score and main title theme for foreign-language series The Death Ward.
Veteran songwriter Diane Warren also earned a nod for “One Right Here” from Maserati: The Brothers, performed by Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Hudson.
Behemoth!, The Odyssey, Michael, Brother Verses Brother and Linda Perry: Let It Die Here led the film nominations with three each.
The 17th annual HMMA ceremony is scheduled for November 18 at Avalon Hollywood. The awards announced their 2026 nominees on November 2, ahead of the Oscar nominations on January 21.
Last year’s HMMA-winning song “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters and the score for Sinners went on to win Oscars.
The awards recognise composers, songwriters, music supervisors and performers across film, television, video games and other visual media. Tickets are available through TicketTailor, while performances for this year’s ceremony are yet to be announced.
