Timi Dakolo Urges Men Not To Die In Silence In Soon-To-Be-Released Song

‎Popular soul singer Timi Dakolo has urged men not to die in silence but to speak out.
‎
‎The musician, who is set to release a single titled ‘Brotherly’, urged men to speak about issues they face and seek help instead when they need to.
‎
‎The musician whose songs have been highly inspirational uploaded a part of the song to his X account.  The melodious tune has lyrics such as :
‎
‎”Brotherly no die in silence, talk how e dey do you.
‎
‎”I would rather see you in tears than in a coffin. Had I known no be prayer point.
‎
‎
‎The song is timely as people seem to be going through a lot, and many are keeping a lot to themselves, just as we suddenly witnessed the demise of Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, who died last Tuesday after suffering from cancer unnoticed.
‎
‎Timi Dakolo occupies a genuinely unique space in the contemporary Nigerian music landscape. In an industry largely dominated by high-tempo Afrobeats and street-pop, his longevity and massive success stem from intentionally charting a completely different course.
‎
‎Few modern Nigerian artists have successfully created tracks that function as national monuments. Timi accomplished this with “Great Nation”, widely regarded by critics and citizens alike as Nigeria’s “second national anthem.” It is a staple at formal, patriotic, and state functions, inspiring national unity and hope.
‎
‎Another from Dakolo is “Iyawo Mi”, a timeless masterpiece that has become the definitive, essential wedding anthem across the country, celebrating love and marital commitment with highlife undertones.
‎
‎Timi Dakolo is regarded as the Nigerian King of Soul.
