A pan-political group, Public Enlightenment Movement (PEM), has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to building a resilient, interconnected and inclusive Nigeria through ongoing infrastructure and social investments across the country.

The national coordinator of the group, Nuhu Abdullahi, stated this yesterday in Kano while presenting the seventh phase of PEM’s project briefing on key developments recorded in northern Nigeria under the current administration.

Abdullahi explained that the initiative was designed to provide verified updates on government projects and promote transparency, noting that the latest phase highlights significant progress in road infrastructure aimed at enhancing regional connectivity.

He cited the ongoing rehabilitation of the Ajingi–Jahun–Kafin Hausa road linking Kano State and Jigawa State, which he said would facilitate the movement of agricultural produce and strengthen economic activities.

According to him, the dualisation of the Minna–Bida road in Niger State is expected to reduce travel time and improve safety. At the same time, the Kaduna Western Bypass project will ease congestion and enhance access to the Federal Capital Territory.

He further noted that the rehabilitation of the Shiroro road in Niger State has improved connectivity and restored economic activities in the area.

On healthcare, Abdullahi said the establishment of a cancer centre at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina State represents a milestone in expanding access to quality and affordable oncology services.

He also disclosed that work is progressing on the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway, describing it as a strategic multi-state corridor designed to boost trade and mobility, with provisions for modern security infrastructure.

Abdullahi said the projects reflect the broader objectives of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, adding that the developments in the North mirror ongoing efforts to drive national growth.

He reiterated the group’s commitment to keeping citizens informed on government activities, stressing that sustained public enlightenment remains key to national development.
