The president, who said this in Bauchi on Friday when he paid a condolence visit to the government and family of the late emir, expressed shock and sadness over the death of the emir.

President Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, commended the late emir for his contributions to national unity and development of the country.

He said the emir played a significant role in nation-building, describing him as a leader who worked tirelessly to promote peace, stability and development in Bauchi State and beyond.

“He was a champion of progress and a beacon of hope for his people. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations to work towards a better Nigeria,” he said.
