Ngwaba stated this while speaking to newsmen against the background of celebration of Tinubu’s victory at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

“President Tinubu, considering the situation of the economy of the country when he assumed office, needs our encouragement, cooperation, and prayers to succeed, party interests aside,” he appealed.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the manner “even some well-informed Nigerians have been criticising Tinubu’s administration without recourse to the situation of the economy over the years before”.

Arguing that it is not in doubt that Tinubu has taken some drastic measures to address the situation from his first day in office, he explained that the measures were for the interest of the future of the country.

“He probably would not have taken them if the previous administrations had thought it wise or had the political will to address them when they manifested,” he noted.

According to the chairman of Nsirimo ward chapter of the party in Umuahia South local government: “But, even at that It is too early to judge the administration which is bearly 100 days.”

He maintained that much as the critics have the right to do so, “the administration is not adverse to criticism; they should endeavour to make them constructive and in good faith”.

Ngwaba said the victory is not only for Tinubu nor the party alone, but for all lovers of democracy and believers in the judiciary as impatial interpreter of the law.

Congratulating the president for the victory, he appealed to him to continue with his developmental measures, and expressed the hopeful that “the country would soon be out of the woods”.

He, therefore, appealed to the opposition to sheath their swords and join hands with the administration to move the country forward as one family for the good of all.
