“As we all mark the 65th independence anniversary let us all rededicate ourselves to the ideals of unity, hard work and mutual respect, let us decide in our words, in our actions, in our choices we will contribute to a Lagos and indeed to real Nigeria, the Nigeria and a state that works for every of the citizen,  to all value the real collective results, I am more than confidence that the future of a peaceful and prosperous city and nation is achievable and the enduring greatness that we deserve is surely ours.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded the Tinubu-led administration for providing viable leadership, saying, “he continues to provide for us, for all of his right-thinking intervention that his administration has given to our citizens.

‘’For us in Lagos, we are genuinely and proudly behind his government, we see the very positive, the very essence of his leadership and that for us as the people, we will continue to work with his government to ensure that the real dividend of democracy and the various level of engagement between the federal and sub national is truly enshrined in Lagos State.

“Mr. President, we are excited, knowing full well that indeed Nigeria has really made a bend. We are beginning to see the downward trend in inflation, the downward trend in our foreign currency exchange rate, and the downward trend in the cost of food at various markets.

“We are beginning to see the downward trend in the level of insecurity in different parts of our nation, so as your leader in Lagos State, we are resolute and committed. We will continue to work with your administration at the federal level and ensure that together all of the promises you have given our people and all of the promises we have also committed to our people are realisable in your time. The people feel and see the real dividend of democracy.” Sanwo-Olu said.
