Abdulmajid disclosed that a delegation from the media company, led by the managing director and editor-in-chief, Mr. Kayode Akintemi, paid a courtesy visit to the Police Headquarters in Maiduguri.

During the visit, Mr. Akintemi and his team engaged in constructive discussions with CP Nasiru Abdulmajid and his senior officers, focusing on the shared responsibility of the media and police in fostering a secure and informed society. Both parties explored avenues for collaboration, particularly in public awareness, crisis communication, and community engagement.

The visit comes ahead of the highly anticipated News Central TV Town Hall, scheduled in Maiduguri on Thursday, June 19th, 2025. The Town Hall will bring together key stakeholders, including government officials, security agencies, civil society, and the public, to deliberate on pressing issues of peace, security, and development in the region.

CP Nasiru Abdulmajid expressed the unwavering commitment of the Borno State Police Command to supporting News Central’s initiatives, especially the upcoming Town Hall. He emphasised the importance of a strong partnership between the police and the media in building trust, promoting transparency, and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
