Toyin Abraham has responded sharply to a social media user who dragged her into the ongoing debate surrounding Uche Montana’s YouTube view milestones.
The controversy began after Montana’s new film, ‘Monica 2’, reportedly racked up over 4.3 million views within 24 hours of its release, sparking scepticism online about the authenticity of the numbers. Some critics questioned how the actress, perceived by some as not among Nollywood’s biggest stars, could achieve such rapid traction.
One user compared the feat to Abraham’s recent film ‘Imisi’, which reportedly hit 3 million views within a week, suggesting Montana’s figures might not be organic.
Reacting to the comparison, Abraham distanced herself from the debate, urging the critic to leave her out of it and allow Montana to celebrate her success.
“Please leave me out of this and let her enjoy her moment and time. Won sepe fun yi ni, abi kilode gan,” she wrote, defending her colleague amid the growing online discourse.
