Galatasaray Issue Ultimatum To Osimhen

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have reportedly put forward an ultimatum to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen regarding his future at the club.

According to reports from TMW, the Istanbul-based side are prepared to activate the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract, should the forward continue to remain unresponsive.

Despite the club’s willingness to secure Osimhen’s services, the lack of communication from the 26-year-old is beginning to test the patience of the Turkish giants. Galatasaray’s management has made it clear that they need a prompt decision, as time is of the essence in the highly competitive transfer market.

Osimhen rose to prominence during his loan spell at RAMS Park last season, where he was a pivotal figure in the squad. The powerful forward netted an impressive 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. His standout performances played a significant role in helping Galatasaray clinch both the Turkish Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup, further solidifying his reputation as a top striker.

Galatasaray’s vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, expressed his dissatisfaction with the current situation. “He’s making us wait but time is running out. We’ve offered him figures higher than those proposed in Europe,” Kavukcu stated, reflecting the urgency of the situation and the club’s desire to solidify their attacking options ahead of the new season.

In addition to Galatasaray, Serie A giants Juventus and the financially robust Saudi club Al-Hilal have also expressed interest in the talented forward, increasing the pressure on Osimhen to make a decision regarding his future.
