Reports have emerged explaining why AC Milan has pulled out of their deal for Nigerian international Victor Boniface. According to Fabrizio Romano, the striker failed his medical examination at San Siro over the weekend, despite having reached a verbal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for a €5 million loan fee and a €24 million buy-back clause.
Boniface has returned to Germany, with no progress on the move. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the deal has been terminated due to the striker’s failure to pass his medical tests. Bayer Leverkusen director Simon Rolfes confirmed to BILD, “If Boniface returns to Leverkusen, the AC Milan deal is over. That’s no secret. Renegotiating the deal? I don’t think that will happen. His physical situation has improved since the beginning.”
