Not fewer than eight terrorists have been eliminated while arms and ammunitions were recovered by troops of the Nigerian Army in Kaduna State.

A statement by the Nigerian Army on its official X handle, said troops engaged the terrorists in a gun duel in the general areas of Kampani Doka and Rifigoro communities in Birnin Gwari local government area of the state.

The Army said troops carried out offensive operations into the terrorists’ stronghold near Kampanin Doka where they met strong resistance from the terrorists.

“In a shootout that lasted for hours, the gallant troops subdued the criminal elements with superior fire power, thereby neutralising 7 of the terrorists,” it said.
