UBA Pensions Custodian Limited is set to host the 12th edition of its Annual Sports Tournament on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Upbeat Recreational Centre in Lekki, Lagos.

The event, themed “Move. Connect. Thrive”, will bring together pension industry professionals for a day of sporting competition, fitness activities and networking designed to strengthen relationships across the sector.

Scheduled to begin at 9:00am, the tournament will feature football, relay races, track events and various fitness drills, with participation expected from around 23 Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) and other industry operators.

Confirmed participants include Leadway Pensure, PAL Pension, FCMB Pension, Citizens Pensions, CardinalStone Pensions, Tangerine APT Pension, Access ARM Pensions, Fidelity Pension and Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers.

Others expected to take part include Premium Pension, Veritas Glanvills Pensions, Heirs Life, Trustfund Pension, Custodian Pension, CrusaderSterling Pensions, Fortis Global Insurance, Parthian Pensions, NLPC Pension Fund Administrators, Norrenberger Pensions, OAK Pensions, NPF Pensions Limited, UBA Pensions and Stanbic IBTC Insurance.

Beyond the sporting fixtures, organisers say the tournament is designed as a platform for professional networking, relationship-building and team bonding, offering structured engagement opportunities across the pension value chain.

Speaking ahead of the event, Managing Director of UBA Pensions, Blessing Ogwu, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening collaboration within the industry.

“At UBA Pensions, we understand that the relationships we build beyond the boardroom define the partnerships we sustain within it,” Ogwu said. “This tournament is an investment in the professionals who shape the industry and in a culture of excellence that drives better outcomes for millions of pension contributors in Nigeria.”
