Istanbul erupted as Galatasaray secured a sensational 5-2 victory over Italian giants Juventus in their Champions League knockout stage clash. A dominant second-half performance, highlighted by two crucial assists from Victor Osimhen, propelled the Turkish side to a memorable win.

The first half was a seesaw battle, with Galatasaray’s G. Sara opening the scoring in the 15th minute. However, Juventus quickly responded through T. Koopmeiners and A. Cambiaso, taking a 2-1 lead into the break.

Galatasaray emerged from the changing rooms with renewed vigour. N. Lang equalised in the 49th minute, and the momentum firmly shifted when G. Sara bagged his second in the 60th minute, putting the home side 3-2 up.

The introduction of Victor Osimhen in the 75th minute proved to be a masterstroke. The Nigerian striker immediately made an impact, setting up N. Lang for Galatasaray’s fourth goal. Osimhen wasn’t finished there, providing another assist for S. Boey in the 86th minute to seal a resounding 5-2 triumph. The result leaves Juventus with a mountain to climb in the return leg.
