Uzodimma Swears In Nzeukwu As Acting Chief Judge

Five months after vacuum, Justice Theophilus Nnamdi Nzeukwu was on Wednesday evening sworn-in as the acting Chief Judge for Imo State.

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State swore in Justice Nzeukwu alongside two new commissioners, Prof. Bernard Thompson Ikegwuoha, and Dr. (Mrs.) Vivian Chioma Egu at the Sam Mbakwe executive chambers at the Douglas House, Owerri.

Justice Nzeukwu hails from Egwedu-Atta Autonomous Community in the Njaba local government area of Imo State.

He attended Central School No. II Atta and Bishop Shanahan College, Orlu (B.S.C); Federal Government College, Kano before proceeding to the  University of Lagos (UNILAG), where he studied law.

After graduating from the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos, he completed his National Youth Service (NYSC) at the Ministry of Justice, Etina, Akwa-Ibom State, before commencing legal practice at A.B.C. Iketuonye & Co. (SAN Chambers), Owerri.

He has served as Chief Magistrate, Imo State Judiciary; Deputy Chief Registrar, High Court of Owerri; Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice, Owerri; High Court Judge, Owerri, before his latest appointment as the acting Chief Judge for Imo state.
