Victor Boniface’s proposed move to AC Milan may have collapsed as Nigerian international has returned to Germany following medical tests conducted with Italian giants AC Milan.

The promising forward, who has been a standout performer for Bayer Leverkusen since joining the Bundesliga side, was in Milan for 48 hours as both parties awaited the club’s imminent decision regarding his fitness.

According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, who took to his X handle to provide updates, Boniface was expected to arrive back in Leverkusen on Sunday.

He had hoped to secure a move to the Serie A side following the completion of his medical examinations over the weekend.

However, AC Milan has not yet given the green light for the transfer, leaving Boniface’s future momentarily uncertain.
