Governor Nwifuru maintained that the state government is prepared to pursue those fermenting troubles and perpetuating violence in the community.

During a Thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel, Governor Nwifuru disclosed this in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

He warned those who Sabotaged the peace process in the troubled community and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quelling the crisis and ensuring peace returns to the community.

Despite the significant resources invested in resolving the conflict, he expressed disappointment over specific individuals undermining the government’s peace initiatives.

He appealed to the warlords and other individuals benefiting from the crisis to embrace peace, emphasising the importance of unity for the development of the State.

Governor Nwifuru also doled out N50,000 each, a bag of rice and wrapper to 5,000 elders and widows across the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State. He appealed to public officeholders and influential individuals to extend kindness to the less privileged, especially during Christmas.
