A statement issued by the director general Press Affairs and Media to the Governor Alhaji Mamman Mohammed said Buni gave the assurance in his office in Damaturu when he was presented with an award won by the “Operation Haba Maza” security outfit as the best police patrol outfit in Nigeria, by the Nigeria Police Force.

The governor had in 2019 established “Operation Haba Maza” as an emergency support to the conventional security agencies in the state.

He said the head of the outfit, CSP Muhammad S. Shehu, was carefully selected to ensure delivery. “I am never disappointed, Shehu has done us proud by living up to our expectations and winning this award.”
Governor Buni commended security agencies in the state for the synergy and teamwork, which has grossly reduced the rate of crime across the state.

The commissioner, Yobe State Police Command, Garba Ahmed has while speaking commended the governor for establishing the Haba Maza outfit.
