Adding that it is a superb opportunity for your children to do something of eternal value, learning and memorizing God’s Word is always a great idea, how much more when there is a fun and rewarding contest to encourage them with.
According to her, the Discipleship Bible Bee was founded in 2019’ with the mission to engage young people in the memorization and study of God’s Word and provide opportunities to proclaim it through broadcast competitions.
She stated that placing biblical scripture in the hearts of our children is a vital part of leading them to faith in Jesus Christ and developing a spiritual family legacy in your home.
“Today we are here to anchor the event called our discipleship Bible Bee. The Discipleship Bible Bee is an annual event we have where the children are being questioned rigorously on aspects of the Bible. It is done in three stages. So today we are having the grand finale.
“So in recent times, we’ve noticed that our christian are not really motivated in terms of reading their Bible. They see it more as a choice. So we decided to come up with a program where we can motivate them to read and get rewards.
“But at the end of the day, what usually happens is that, you know, getting into the skill and the habits and the routine of reading the Bible never lift them. So it’s a win win situation.
“In the world where the truth, I mean, where Black has become white. The word of God is truth. And as they read the Bible, it’s helps them in terms of making the right choices, the right decisions and the word of God becomes like an internal compass that navigates them through their life.
“So right now, we are having a lot of addictions, substance abuse, a lot of vices and use in the society and everything stems from decisions.
“So a child who has the word of God growing in their hearts and will be able to understand that this is wrong and this is right. It sets their value system to a belief system. So that is at the end of the day it helps them to contribute positively and also make positive impact in the society,” she said.
Oboh further said that this year they have Dabosh Lubgas Zananag as their sponsor.
