An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, has defended the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, warning against what he described as the spread of misleading information by critics.

Dingyadi, an aide to APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, made the remarks in a statement released in Sokoto on Sunday.

He said opposition elements were largely responsible for circulating negative narratives on social media, which he claimed were based on falsehoods and unfounded allegations.

Dingyadi criticised what he described as attempts to undermine the government’s achievements, arguing that such efforts detract from national unity and progress.

He insisted that the administration has recorded gains in security, infrastructure, and social development, particularly in the northern region, and should be recognised for these efforts.

The APC chieftain also highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening the economy and improving public services, including investments in agriculture, education, healthcare, housing, and social welfare.

He called on Nigerians to critically assess the information they encounter and avoid being influenced by what he termed politically motivated distortions.

Dingyadi reaffirmed the party’s commitment to sustaining reforms and ensuring that governance continues to deliver tangible benefits to citizens.

End.
