Yoruba actress and film producer, Debbie Shokoya, has said she has paid her dues in the film industry and would not shrink to accommodate anyone to be in their good books.
The actress seems to be slamming an anonymous person. She took to her Instagram platform to say:
“There’s a difference between being proud and knowing one’s worth!
I paid my dues. I won’t shrink because I wanna be in your good book! Koni Da Fun Book Yen”.
I am proud mo gba.”
The ‘Ijakumo’ actress sent a message to producers, tackling colleagues who lie to producers, head-on, stating she is not available for jobs, seeing as she gave birth and is still nursing. Debbie wondered why they were attempting to undermine her, and she refused to be treated that way.
Debbie Shokoya, who came to the spotlight through her role as Fatty Abebelube in the movie ‘Aye Loja’, gained fame in 2017. The actress began her acting career in 2012 and has since appeared in several films.
