Zamfara Gets New Electoral Commission Chairman

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of Bala Aliyu Gusau as chairman of Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC).

This is contained in a statement signed by Suleman Ahmad Tudu, the senior special assistant media office of the Secretary to the State Government and made available to newsmen in Gusau yesterday.
According to the statement, the appointment followed the death of the former chairman of the commission.

Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, said the appointment is subject to confirmation by the House of Assembly.
