Zamfara Govt To Support Gusau Market Fire Victims

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has pledged to extend all possible support and assistance to victims of the Gusau Central Market fire incident.

A fire broke out at the market on Tuesday night, resulting in the death of one person and burning of over 50 shops.

A statement issued by the spokesman of the governor, Sulaiman Idris, disclosed this while assessing damages caused by the fire, saying Governor Lawal had promised to help those affected.

He added that the governor assured those affected that the government would do everything possible to alleviate their suffering and help them recover.

Addressing the victims at the Gusau Central Market, Zamfara State the governor condoled the leadership of the market over the death of one person during the incident.
