1 Killed In FCT Hotel Robbery Attack

Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has confirmed one death in an armed robbery attack at Volcano Peak Court Hotel, Gwarimpa, Abuja.

The attack, which happened on June 15, 2024, claimed the life of Bashir Dauda, who the robbers shot.
Confirming the incident, the police PRO FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, said, “ On June 15, 2024, at about 05:07 am, the FCT Police Command received a distress call that a robbery had taken place at Volcano Peak Court Hotel 4th Avenue around 03:35 am.

“Operatives from Gwarimpa Police Division immediately deployed to the scene, secured the premises and discovered that the attackers had shot one Bashir Dauda.

“The victim was quickly rushed to Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jabi, where doctors on duty confirmed him dead. The corpse was released on the request of the family to be buried according to Islamic rites.”

The police further said the investigation to apprehend the culprits is ongoing and that further developments will be communicated in due course.
