Fashion is the cultural construction of the embodiment of identities that focuses on sociocultural looks. The term “fashion” dates back to the 16th Century and it exemplified the social and temporal systems that influenced and drove social identities globally, the fashion industry employs more than half a billion people directly and indirectly. The fashion industry is believed to have first developed in Europe and then America before becoming global.
The fashion industry is made largely of local artisans and designers who specialize in the reinvention of traditional Kante and Fugu clothes with a modern sense of touch. Fashion is noted for its use of bright colors and deistic prints. The culture of Africa is a major influence on the fashion industry and the various ethnic groups in Africa help to bring diversities in the sense of fashion. Fashion in Africa is also dominated by the production of clothes made in traditional styles and these clothes are mostly handmade, hand-woven, hand-dyed, and hand-sewn by professionals.

To Francis Osei and his brand NASLYN MODA, the concept of Fashion represents the process of style changes as Fashion keeps taking very different forms at various times in History. Fashion changes in time due to contact with other societies and the human desire for new and different styles. In Africa, traditional institutions present themselves with clothes that are symbolic and display their values and heritages. According to him, clothing is an integral part of the fashion culture and it defines the status of a person. Although fashion changes and intrinsic, such changes are shaped by globalization. Globalization has affected the way we view fashion. Globalization has become purely economical and is associated with advancement in technology which facilitates the growth of fashion.

Fashion design is one of the fastest growing sub-sectors in Africa and has its share of the growth. Within theeconomy, its emergence, development, and growth are on the increase with new entrants coming into the sub-sector daily. Fashion designing is experiencing an increased influx of individuals who want to purchase well-tailored clothes that satisfy their demands and requirements. Francis Osei having studied the fashion market has been able to produce gowns and dresses especially maxi gowns for specified occasions and for specific individual requirements.
The CAMILA COLLECTION 2019 by Francis Osei is an innovation that defined existing precedents with the potential to diversify female attire, so the collection which is predominantly of maxi gowns of trending designs a display of statement of professional skills, creativity, knowledge, and experiences of tailoring (cutting, draping, sewing, etc.) which have adequately transformed into financial goods. This can be attributed to Francis’s good understanding of the audience’s lifestyle; its excellent communication skills are explicitly expressed through its original and motivating ideas.

An expansive conception of this CAMILA 2019 Collection does not preclude further categorization; the focus of this unique female collection is primarily designer’s fashion, garments that fulfil the general qualifications of fashion but can be further distinguished as garments/gowns by known and celebrated individuals recognized for a particular consistent aesthetic. With the CAMILA 2019 Collection, the brand name (NASLYN MODA) often eclipses the identity and contributions of their gender (FRANCIS OSEI) suggesting the internet Value of the designer which lies in the social and cultural cachet of the brand-constructed image.
