A political pressure group in Kano, ATM Gwarzo Organisation, has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group also called on Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo to contest the Kano North Senatorial seat, citing growing demand from his constituents and supporters.
These were contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the organisation’s meeting held on April 7, 2026, and signed by its chairman, Hon. Magaji Shehu Lambu.
The communiqué stated that the group unanimously resolved to align with the progressive ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration and the Kano First policy of the state government.
It expressed confidence in the leadership of both Tinubu and Yusuf, pledging continued political support and mobilisation efforts toward their re-election bids.
On the 2027 senatorial race, the group said there was an overwhelming call on Gwarzo to represent Kano North, urging him to heed the demand and present himself for the contest.
“The organisation reaffirms its unwavering support and readiness to mobilise across all levels to ensure the realisation of this collective aspiration,” the communiqué read.
The meeting, which drew participants from Kano north and surrounding communities, focused on political realignments and strategies ahead of the next general elections.
