Former special adviser on Political Matters to President Bola Tinubu, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has said the people of the North West region will judge all politicians in the region based on their exposure to violence, death and poverty in the 2027 general election.
Baba-Ahmed, who recently resigned from the Tinubu-led administration, added that the governors acted as if the people didn’t matter.
He stated this while reacting to the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027 by the North West APC over the weekend in Kaduna State.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abas, moved the motion for the endorsement of the President, while Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, seconded the motion, passing a vote of confidence in Tinubu for the second term in 2027.
APC governors in the North West Zone were also offered automatic tickets for second term in the 2027 elections.
This was announced by the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who said Tinubu was committed to the development of the North-West, the entire region and Nigeria.
Reacting on his X post, Baba-Ahmed said, “APC Govs in NW recently endorsed PBAT, endorsed themselves and every elected office holder and defectors from the region.
“They forgot the people who will judge all politicians against their exposure to violence, death and poverty. It’s almost as if they think people don’t matter,” he said.
