Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa of Zamfara State, through his support group, has urged the Zamfara State electorate to pray and take an alternative political platform.

He alleged that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had failed to fulfil their campaign promises, especially tackling the worsening insecurity in the state.

In a statement signed by Alhaji Surajo Garba Maikatato, chairman, Senator Marafa Support Group, he said, “Senator Marafa made a bold and principled decision to leave the APC. This was not a small move; it was a stand for truth. He quit because the President failed to fulfil his campaign promises, especially the promise to tackle the devastating insecurity in Zamfara State. Many other promises were also broken. Our people have suffered.

“Our farms have been abandoned. Our roads have become death traps. Yet those in power looked away. It is time to wake up. It is time to open our eyes. We must never again vote for leaders who promise but fail. We must never repeat the mistake of trusting those who see us only as tools to gain power. Instead, let us vote for a confident, compassionate and capable leader. Let us vote for someone with the burning zeal to end this crisis of insecurity. Let us vote for Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa,” Maikatato said.

He continued, “We are not desperate; we are prepared. We have the capacity, the competence, and the character to lead. Consider Senator Marafa’s track record.

He has never abandoned his people, never betrayed a trust, and never fled from responsibility. This time, in 2027, a great descendant of history will rise. Senator Marafa is the great-grandson of Sheikh Mallam Sambo Dan Ashafa, the revered founder of Gusau and companion of the great Islamic reformer, Sheikh Usman Dan Fodio. That legacy of justice, knowledge and leadership runs in his blood. He will contest and by Allah’s grace, he will prevail.”

“I call on every citizen of Zamfara to join this movement, the Movement of Success. Support Senator Kabiru Marafa. I give you my word: he will never fail you. He has never failed his people, and he will not start now, InshaAllah… ” Maikatato stated.
