Update your doors

One of the easiest ways to breathe new life into your interior is by giving it a fresh lick of paint, but an area that often gets forgotten about is the doors. Of course, painting a wall or the skirting board is sure to look great, but if you really want the wow factor, why not invest in some wood paint and get creative?

You could opt for white to brighten the area or maybe even choose a pastel shade to create an on-trend look that will get everyone talking for all the right reasons.

This project is great whether you own your own home or are in a rental pad—just be sure to ask your landlord before making any major changes. Simply invest in some picture ledges, or even some repurposed wood, and secure it to the wall. This can be painted to suit your interior color scheme or left natural for an organic look. Putting a few ledges together or one on top of the other can also look great. Once secure, simply place your pictures on them and stand back to admire your work.

Fix broken shoes and clothes

Getting rid of old clothes or broken shoes that are past their prime is often our first solution, but by fixing them, you’ll save money, help reduce waste, and will likely feel accomplished at the same time.

Even if you don’t fancy wearing them anymore, fixing them means you can even give them to charity or sell them on and use the extra cash to buy some more pieces. It’s a win-win!
