The Katsina State Police command yesterday said its troops foiled an attack and killed two suspected terrorists.
A statement issued by the command’s spokesman, CSP Gambo Isah, stated that based on an intelligence report, the Anti Kidnapping Unit intercepted a notorious gang of kidnappers which had been on their wanted list when they were on their way to kidnap a businessman in the state.
The statement said, “Two suspected terrorists were neutralised and two AK-47 rifles were recovered. In the course of scanning the scene, the corpse of one Samaila Shehu, ‘M’, of Tsaunin Kura village, Malumfashi local government area, a notorious suspected terrorist who was arrested in 2020 in connection with the attack at GSS Malumfashi Staff Quarters, Katsina and was charged to court.”
