 IGP Commissions Police Area Command Headquarters In Jigawa

Inspector-general of police (IGP) Alkali Baba Usman has vowed to continue to improve police welfare and provide enabling environment for effective policing, security, peace and stability in the country.

The IGP stated this while speaking at the official commissioning of newly formed police force area command in Ringim local government area of Jigawa State.

He said more of such facilities will be provided to strengthen police work.

“We are committed in repositioning police force with provision of adequate modern working equipment, welfare and other facilities that will enhance the capacity of Nigeria police to tackle any insecurity challenge in the country.

“We will also continue to fortify our manpower through regular recruitment of personal from all the 774 local government areas of the federation and equally post them back to their local government of origins towards achieving the desire goals,” Alkali declared.

The IGP charged the Ringin Community to take ownership of the new headquarters and join hands with police to protect it and ensure effective utilisation.

Earlier, the state commissioner of police CP Emmanuel Efffiom  Ekot thanked the IGP for the visit and commissioning of the new area command which he described as a morale booster to state policemen.
