Musician, Don Lamba, (nee Onyekachukwu Mba) is poised to release a new single titled Afrowhistle.
The Enugu State born indigene, will be releasing the single under the record label, Come Setup Entrepreneurs (CSE), co-owned with his elder brother, Ekenechukwu Mba, aka KC Wise, alongside artistes, Jesse Chinedu aka Mofizzay, and Bright Godfrey, aka 3plebeatz.
An experimental piece, the song melds Afrobeats and mouth whistling which the artiste is highly skilled at, and features artiste, Oba Naija.
“iI am skilled in using my mouth to whistle. The new single alongside other projects to be released under CSE label will be a boom.”
Attributing his venture into music to Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy, Don Lamba said the ‘Questions’ crooner relatable lyrics which reflect everyday living, helps people connect easily to his messages.
He also cited Olamide another music icon who impacted his music journey.
“Olamide’s career is worthy of emulation. As a matter of fact, he is an inspirational figure who paved the way for artistes like Lil Kesh, Fire Boy, Adekunle Gold, Asake among others, to thrive in music industry.
“I also respect other music personalities like Don Jazzy, 2 Baba, Akon etc. Who are doing their best to give talented artistes the needed support to showcase their talents and become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.”
On his future plans, Don Lamba is optimistic his name and music will dominate the global music airways.
“In the next five to ten years, I want to be known all over the world through my music. I want my music to win back-to-back awards, and serve as a source of inspiration to people,” he said.
Meantime, the artiste said he is focused on self improvement and experimenting with different sounds to deliver songs that delight his audience.
