The decision to take over the boy’s education was made known by the commissioner for women, children and social development, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, when she briefed newsmen in her office.

She said the state government was concerned about the plight of the boy.

The commissioner said the wife of the governor, Hajiya Huriya Lawal, has directed the ministry to search for the boy and his mother so that they can be supported.
