Polytechnic Alumni Elect New Executive

The Forum of Nigerian Polytechnics Alumni Associations (FONPAA) has held its maiden election of executive members that will pilot the affairs of the forum for the next two years.

The election which took place during the delegates conference in Lafia, Nasarawa State was attended by member associations from over 16 polytechnics across the country. 

Upon the congress’ adoption of consensus nomination among qualified contestants, and as coordinated by the electoral committee chairman, Dr. Linus Iheanacho, Hon. Abba Anas Ádamu of Kaduna Polytechnic emerged president; Mogaji Olagoke Isola of Moshood Abiola polytechnic emerged vice president South; Pastor Enoch Opaleke of Kwara Polytechnic emerged vice president North, while Nze Henry C. Nnebe of Federal Polytechnic Oko emerged general secretary. 

Others are; Mr. Cyril Eyop of Federal Polytechnic Bida as assistant general secretary; Victor Okhaimo of Auchi  Polytechnic as treasurer; Comrade Halilu Ramalan of Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa as financial secretary.

The rest are Mr. Gbénga J. Babalola of Federal Polytechnic Ado as publicity secretary; Dr. Ben Iheakam of Federal Polytechnic Nekede as auditor; and Mr. Jamilu Abubakar of Ima Polytechnic as social/welfare officer.
