In a press statement signed yesterday in Abuja by the ministry’s director of information, Badamasi Haiba, he said the minister gave the indication when he inspected the ministry’s Training Institute for Artisans in the building sector located in Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Dangiwa said the training, when started, would empower artisans to acquire skills in the building sector. He said artisans such as carpenters, welders, plumbers, masons, electricians and painters from across the 36 states of the federation would benefit from the training.

While stressing that artisans in the building industry and the economy contribute largely to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the minister expressed satisfaction with the facilities at the institute and called for the necessary arrangements to complete the work in all the blocks so that training would be conducted on a quarterly basis.

Earlier, the minister inspected work at the site for the proposed Renewed Hope City at Karsana Estate Phase 3 in Abuja which President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to do the groundbreaking soon.
