Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered N7.8 million from past officers of the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC).

The managing director and chief executive officer of the company, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, who disclosed this in Makurdi, the state capital, explained that the money was recovered from past officers of the agency who engaged in corrupt practices.

He said, “The draft cheque of the money has being handed over to BIPC, as more recoveries are underway.”

Asemakaha said the recovery of funds for the Benue Investment and Property Company is a positive step in strengthening the integrity of the agency and promoting a culture of accountability under the leadership of His Excellency Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia.
