In another development, speaker of the House, Falgore reassured the vice chancellor of Bayero University Kano, Prof Sagir Abbas and his team of his unwavering commitment towards uplifting educational standards across the state.

In a statement by the spokesperson to the speaker, Kamaludden Shawai, the speaker gave the assurance when the VC visited the speaker in his office.

Highlighting the track record of BUK among other universities across Nigeria and the world, Prof. Sagir said that there are more than 18,000 Kano State indigenes in the university and in terms of ratings, BUK is fifth in national ranking, which he said was quite commendable.
