The Metropolitan Square, Ilorin designated as the venue of Thursday’s hardship protest was empty as at the time of filing this report.

There were no protesters in and around the venue except security operatives who were deployed there to maintain law and order.

Also, the residents of Ilorin stayed indoors to avoid being caught up in the planned protest.

Shop owners along Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Unity Road, New Yidi Road, Asa Dam Road and Airport Road were yet to open their shops for business, but there was vehicular movement, although scanty as at the time of filing this report.
