Adeleke Submits N390bn 2025 Budget To Assembly

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has presented the Osun State House of Assembly with a budget estimate of 390,028,277,740 billion for the 2025 fiscal year.

According to him, the proposed expenditure comprises a capital expenditure of N144,231,183,800), while N245,797,093,940.00 is budgeted for recurrent expenditure.

He noted that the recurrent expenditure, which is divided into personnel costs and includes salaries and allowances, pensions, and gratuities, stands at N102, 895, 821,010.00, adding that the balance of N142,901,272,930.00 is set aside.

Adeleke disclosed that the government’s revenue projection for the year consists of recurrent revenue, and the government share of FAAC is N196,778,975,180.00.

He added that the projected independent revenue is N109, 870, 932, and 830.00, while other receipts from development partners are N53,377,244,610.00.

The budget estimate is N1.2bn higher than the 2024 budget, which was N273,908,997,410.
He assured the people of the state that his administration would continue to formulate and implement policies, programmes, and projects that would judiciously restore and sustain Osun State’s growth.

He added that his administration’s primary focus is to meet the yearnings of the people of Osun State, complete all ongoing projects, and embark on new ones where critically necessary.
