Yobe State Hisbah Commission has destroyed about 51 cartons of Alcohol, describing it as decisive action in upholding moral standards and promoting peace within communities in the state.

Speaking to LEADERSHIP shortly after the exercise, Executive Chairman of Yobe State Hisbah Commission, Dr. Yahuza Abubakar said the destruction was in line with the Commission’s mandate to enforce laws that promote decency and protect societal values.

Dr. Yahuza emphasised that alcohol consumption poses a threat to public health and social harmony, and its distribution within the state remains prohibited under existing laws.
