English League One side Cardiff City have completed the signing of Nigerian defender Gabriel Osho from French Ligue 1 club AJ Auxerre.
The 27-year-old centre-back penned a four-year contract with the Welsh club for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Osho expressed his delight at the move, describing it as a long-awaited challenge he is eager to embrace. He credited his strong relationship with manager Brian as a key factor in his decision, recalling their positive connection during his time at Rochdale.
Osho arrives with top-flight experience, having spent last season with Auxerre after joining on a free transfer. Before that, he played a crucial role in Luton Town’s promotion to the Premier League in 2022/23 and went on to make 21 appearances in England’s top flight, scoring twice.
