The Adamawa State Government, through the IMPACT Project, has donated ultrasound scanning machines to all 21 local government areas to strengthen healthcare delivery.
At the presentation ceremony, Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta urged health workers to use and maintain the equipment properly, describing the gesture as proof of the government’s commitment to quality healthcare.
She noted that the machines are vital for diagnosing pregnant women and managing emergency cases.
The Commissioner for Health, Chief Felix Tangwami, and the Executive Chairman of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Suleiman Saidu Bashir, commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for prioritizing health, noting that the initiative will enhance diagnosis and improve maternal and child healthcare across the state.
