A day after a 2023 governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), a former deputy governor Charles Iliya in the administration of Ibrahim Dankwambo has also moved to the APC.

The APC also received the North East zonal PDP secretary, Kabir Bappah Jauro into the party platform.

Their defection was formerly perfected at the flag off of the re-election campaign rally of Governor Inuwa Yahaya held at Pantami Stadium, Gombe.

One of the defectors, Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna was appointed campaign coordinator of Inuwa for 2023 elections.

Responding, Governor Inuwa hailed the defectors for joining his camp urging them to contribute to the success of the party in next year’s elections and also support the APC administration in the state.
