Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye as they continue their pursuit of the highly rated teenager.
According to RMC Sport, the 18-year-old has agreed to a five-year contract with Liverpool and is prioritising a move to Anfield despite interest from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool are now expected to intensify negotiations with PSG over a transfer fee, with the French club reportedly seeking a figure in the region of €50 million.
Mbaye has emerged as a target for Liverpool as the Premier League club continues to strengthen its attacking options.
The Reds also retain an interest in France international Bradley Barcola, although any deal for the Paris Saint-Germain forward is expected to be considerably more expensive, with a fee of around €150 million being discussed.
Liverpool will now focus on reaching an agreement with PSG over Mbaye’s transfer fee after reportedly securing the teenager’s commitment to a move to Anfield.
