Coventry City secured their first Premier League victory of the season after edging Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground on Saturday.
After a goalless first half, J. Dasilva broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, finishing from C. Rushworth’s assist to give Coventry a precious lead.
Forest pushed for an equaliser but struggled to break down a disciplined Coventry defence.
The hosts were further frustrated in the closing stages when a potential effort involving I. Jesus was reviewed by VAR in the 86th minute, but Coventry retained their advantage.
Forest continued to search for a leveller, with J. Cunha also involved in the late attacking pressure, but Coventry held firm through four minutes of added time.
The final whistle confirmed a 1-0 victory for Coventry, giving them their first league win of the campaign and leaving Forest empty-handed on home soil.
