Jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer has described her ex-husband, actor Tobey Maguire, officiating her wedding to Geoffrey Ogunlesi as a meaningful moment in their co-parenting relationship.
Meyer, 49, married Ogunlesi, the son of Nigerian billionaire investor Adebayo Ogunlesi, in Hawaii on October 10. Speaking to Vogue, she said the ceremony was filled with happiness, with their children and parents also taking part.
“Having Tobey, my ex-husband, officiate was so special. A little unconventional, but so perfectly us,” she said.
Meyer and Maguire, 51, married in 2007 and have two children, Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17. They separated in 2016, and their divorce was finalised in September, with the judgment filed on October 1.
Meyer welcomed her third child, her first with Ogunlesi, in June.
The jewellery designer has previously spoken about maintaining a close relationship with Maguire after their separation, saying they prioritised their children and remained committed to sharing family occasions.
In an earlier interview with People in May, Meyer described Maguire as “the most A+ human being I know” and praised his role as a father.
She also said her husband and ex-husband shared a warm relationship, adding that the arrangement had helped their unconventional family dynamic work well.
