AANI Hails Oluyede’s Appointment As Acting COAS

Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has lauded the appointment of one its members, Maj. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, as Acting Chief of Army Staff.

The president of AANI, Ambassador Emmanuel Okafor, on behalf of the executive committee, National Executive Council and members of the association in a statement by the national publicity secretary, Brig-Gen Sani Usman (rtd) hailed the appointment, describing it as “well deserved”.

Maj. Gen. Oluyede a member of Course 36 (SEC 36) 2014 was appointed acting chief of army staff by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the ill health of the substantive COAS, Lt –Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.

The statement said Oluyede’s appointment bore testimony to his great wealth of experience as a seasoned senior military officer, commitment, dedication to duty, professionalism and deep understanding of the Nigerian Army.
